'Minecraft Earth' Launches in Early Access This October
Minecraft Earth won't be stuck in beta testing for longer. Mojang and Microsoft announced that the game's augmented-reality feature will be available in early access for certain countries beginning in October. Jason's blog The announcement didn't specify which platforms or countries would be included, but the beta includes both Android and iOS users.
Earth is a slight departure from the standard Minecraft experience. You can still create your own worlds in AR, but you can also participate in sharing Adventures that have you braving monsters and other obstacles to earn rare resources. It's ultimately an extension of Minecraft that encourages you to venture out into the real world and interact, with world-building as the glue.
