Models Looks Direct From the Catwalk - Fearless Fashionista's Top Two

Followers of fashion have witnessed some pretty outrageous looks emerge this season but two of the biggest stories to really make it towards the street are distressed jeans and thigh boots (not really together!).
Country Fashion Tips are not for the faint-hearted, but if there is a confidence to offer them an attempt here is a breakdown of both looks and ways to make them do the job.
Distressed jeans
Love or loathe them, distressed jeans continue to be big news. After Balmain's sellout spring/summer collection took the fashion world by storm the look appears to be sticking with us for about another season. Stars sporting this trend include Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Rachel Bilson, SJP, Ashley Olsen and Kate Bosworth. There are lots of methods to use them if you have the confidence, out of your tender are a handful of tips in the Models Direct office:
Do:
o Keep the fit skinny and low rise o Pair your faded jeans with a vintage rock chick vest/t-shirt o Add a leather biker jacket, military jacket, or polish the look with a crisp cut blazer o Dress up your look making it dancefloor-appropriate with ankle boots, studded/embellished high heels or strappy platforms o Bunch the jeans up in the ankle or roll the hem to show off your footwear o Accessorise with studded or spiked jewellery
Don't:
o Be frightened of straps, skulls, ruffles and studs... the greater the higher! o Pair with florals or fussy prints o Pair with feminine blouses
Over-the-knee boots
Thigh boots have returned for your bold! After featuring heavily around the catwalk this year, thigh boots are now being hailed as the ultimate autumn/winter 2009 'must have' for your brave fashionista.
These risque boots come using a degree of implied eroticism attached and that means you should put some thought into the method that you wear them. Here are a handful of tips that might help:
o Stay away from patent and go for natural-looking materials like suede or genuine leather. o Go for muted shades of grey, brown and in many cases cream. o You don't have to wear this look with a stiletto heel - try some flats or select wedges. o Match your tights for a boots or tuck in skinny jeans or leggings that complement the color to get a leggier 'look'. o Tone down your outfit.
To acquire a similar look, wear the tallest boots you already own, with over-the-knee socks layered over dark tights.
If you are feeling really brave you can wear both looks together, as seen recently on Ciara and Kate Hudson.
