History

 When the industrial revolution occurred in 1843, the University was founded. Sheffield School of Design was renamed Sheffield School of Art at that time (1850). When the first 90 students were enrolled in 1905, it was christened Sheffield City College of Education. Sheffield Polytechnic was established in 1969, and it was later renamed Sheffield City Polytechnic (1976). Sheffield Hallam University was established in 1992 after this institute was granted university status (SHU). The city campus is located near the Sheffield Railway Station in the centre of the city. The collegiate campus, located in south-west Sheffield, is another option.

Apart from that, Sheffield Hallam University is going to develop the Sheffield Business School and the College of Social Sciences and Arts by updating and adding to the facilities. The University has already invested over £100 million for the brand new facilities and decided to invest £220m for the next five years.
 

Student Life

Sheffield Hallam Students' Union is a significant organisation that represents students and speaks for them. Students from all around the world share their experiences, thoughts, and keep track of any university-related difficulties. Sheffield Hospitals Charity, which is run by Sheffield Hallam Students' Union, has recently been active enough to engage in creative initiatives. 'Arts in Health Volunteers' is the name of the non-profit. Several extracurricular options, societies, events and trips, volunteering, and work experiences are all available through the hub. As a result, the Union Council is divided into three zones: community, education, and student union. Transport

 
When students purchase bus tickets, it becomes much easier to travel between Sheffield Hallam campuses. Live bus displays can be found at Eric Men's forth, Charles Street, and Collegiate Hall. Walking from one location to another in South Yorkshire takes 25 to 30 minutes. Discount parking is available in two city centre parks. In South Yorkshire, the local buses and the Supertram are both great ways of transportation. The free shuttle bus has been observed, and the rail network link makes travelling throughout the city and the rest of the country simple.
