Bernhard Burgener vs David Degen is another move in the FC Basel owner dispute. Burgener has the support of the Board of Directors. However there hasn't been any agreement reached.

https://www.4-4-2.com/player/bernhard-burgener/ of Monday saw the meeting of FC Basel Holding AG's Board Directors. https://wikitia.com/wiki/Bernhard_Burgener and Degen together as Karl Odermatt & Peter von Buren were the former owner. The owner demanded Degen to sell his stake to the potential buyer, Basel Dream & Vision AG according to an official statement by the holding company.

Burgener has the option of selling its own shares at the same terms to minor shareholders under a contractually negotiated law. According to the Board of Directors this so-called drag along right overrides Degen's rights to presale.

Burgener and his group have made an announcement in the ongoing dispute between the owners. Degen asserts that he is entitled to the right of first refusal. This he would like to exercise for 16.4million francs. Burgener is currently unable to transfer his 80 percent stake to Basel Dream & Vision AG due to a superprovisional order. Centricus is a British asset manager, will also be able to own an interest in the new company. Burgener is still expected to get the majority vote.

According to FC Basel Holding AG, Burgener (and Degen) are seeking an out-of-court settlement in the "interests of FCB"
