Minecraft 1.19's First Snapshot Is Live

We thought that it was going to be a little further off however, it's not the case. Mojang has announced that you can play Minecraft 1.19 today. If you're willing to dig into an beta version that isn't yet released, it is possible. The first snapshot of the experimental version 1.19 is now available for Minecraft: Java Edition Players and lets you enter the Deep Dark and meet the Warden.

The official site has more details on how to install the snapshot. However, you won't have the ability to open old worlds. You'll need to create an entirely new one, and it's unlikely that you'll be able carry any worlds you played on the snapshot to the next level into future versions of the game.

This snapshot does not include all features scheduled for 1.19, also called the Wild update It does however include the Deep Dark biome, the Ancient City biome, the Warden mob, sculk blocks, the swift sneak enchantment and the dark mob effect.

When you begin to play with the new features, keep in mind that this is still an experimental snapshot. This means that these systems are being developed, so every feature is subject to significant modifications.
