Aston Institution is a major public research university in the United Kingdom. The university campus, which was founded in 1966, is located in the heart of Birmingham on a lush 60-acre self-contained location. The University of Aston is a well-known educational and research centre around the world.

An International Orientation Program is held at the start of each year to provide information and resources to new international students. Student volunteers, known as 'Aston Aunties,' help meet and greet students as they arrive at Birmingham Airport at the start of each academic year, assisting them in adjusting to the new culture and interactions that await them.
 
The Learning Development Centre (LDC) is a resource for academic guidance and assistance. Personal tutors provide advice, support, and direction in one-on-one and group tutorials at LDC.
