History
In 1881, the University College Nottingham was founded as a Civic College. Following that, it was granted university status by Royal Charter in 1948. In 1928, King George V established the college. It was thereafter located on the University Park site as its primary location. Students used to be enthralled by the prospect of studying at The University of Nottingham because of several well-known people who taught students as guest lecturers. For example, Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, and H.G. Wells were all faculty members at Nottingham. The institution was responsible for the establishment of the first medical school in England in the twentieth century, as well as the School of Nursing in England.
