History

 
The University of Exeter was established in the year 1955. St Luke's College, Exeter School of Science, Exeter School of Art, and the Camborne School of Mines were all converted one after the other (1888). The Royal Albert Memorial College took over the Exeter Schools of Science and Art in 1900. In 1922, the institution was once again turned into a southwest university college. Finally, the institution was granted university status and a Royal Charter in 1955. Three campuses make up the University of Exeter. Streatham is the largest campus by area among them. The executive buildings at the institution are known throughout the country for their elegance.

The Students' Guild, which represents students on the Exeter campuses, is part of the INTO University of Exeter Students' Union. It is a nationally recognised organisation that is an integral element of student life. Clubs and groups, events, entertainment, athletics, and support keep the union busy. It is the voice of university students, ensuring the best for students at all levels and on all issues. The union is involved in fundraising, volunteering, and providing entertainment. The Ram Bar sponsors the evening, which includes live music and frequent quiz evenings. Students from all around the world congregate here to form a vibrant and diverse community. INTO University of Exeter is divided into three campuses. The Streatham and St Luke's campuses are in Exeter, while the Penryn Campus is in Cornwall. All of the locations are lovely, with plenty of student support and facilities. Exeter is a vibrant and historically significant city with high-street retailers, restaurants, eccentric cafes, and boutique shops. Cornwall city is similar to Exeter in that it has many gorgeous beaches and coves. The city is surrounded by modern artists, young professionals, and university students, making for an excellent living environment.
 

Living Accommodation

 
INTO University of Exeter offers a comfortable living place situated in the University’s Streatham Campus. The Exeter students also can choose Private student accommodation. The INTO accommodation provides a private single bedroom, a private kitchen as well as shower facilities. Therefore, The Homestay program offers a private bedroom in a local host’s home. Accommodation at INTO University of Exeter is very careful about selecting hosts. Exeter students can access the INTO Exeter accommodation program and choose with the help of Enrolment Counsellors for Exeter accommodation on campus. The student residences are categorized into three sections. They are Superior En suite, Shared Studio, and Studio. Every room has common facilities such as, a kitchen, a shared study space. Therefore, students feel comfortable getting in touch with on-site shop and takeaway café service. The Superior En suite belongs to modern amenities like a single bedroom as well as an En suite shower room, shared kitchen, Single bed, Wardrobe, Study desk and chair. The modern facilities are available in the shared space. Hob and oven, food storage, microwave, fridge freezer, table, and chairs, cutlery, crockery, and cooking utensils, are also included. Moreover, the two separate bedroom units along with private shower rooms are found in ‘Shared Studio’. The third one, ‘Studio’ has the same facilities including a kitchenette, an en suite shower room, Hob, microwave, fridge freezer, and so on.
 
 

Transport

 
At the Exeter campus, available D bus services can be spotted here and there. Students can also take electric trains to get around the city centre. Between St Luke's Campus and the city centre, the H bus service runs. Both the Exeter Central bus station and Exeter St David's train station are close to each other. Unorder bus passes for Exeter students are available at a discounted rate. As a result, students have endless travel options in the Exeter area. Unorder Gold bus passes are available for students to travel around the South West. Additionally, Megabus passengers have access to Onboard Coach services.
