Common Mistakes First-Time Trekkers Make

1. Rushing the Itinerary

Compressing the itinerary to save annual leave is one of the most reliable ways to end up in a helicopter. The acclimatization days on Day 04 and Day 07 exist for a physiological reason — your body needs that time. Skipping or shortening them dramatically increases your AMS risk. The extra days are not a luxury; they are a physiological necessity.

2. Underestimating Cold

Many trekkers pack based on sunny trail photos.
