BBC Scotland said Minecraft fans would, for the first time, get to watch Stampy demonstrate how he makes his videos during a meeting with Dundee games entrepreneur Chris van der Kuyl.
Stampy will discuss the making of his Christmas special, while giving viewers an insight into his life and a career that has seen him become one of the world's most popular YouTubers.
Mr. van der Kuyl said Stampy was the "epitome of the 21st Century digital native" who could inspire audiences regardless of their age.
"Stampy is a source of inspiration for an entire new generation of young people who can clearly see that their future jobs will be based on a unique blend of talent in the arts, creativity, and technical design abilities that can be utilized by everyone," he added.
The RSE lecture will be screened as part of the BBC Make it Digital initiative to promote digital creativity among young people.
