Macallan 12 Year Old Triple Cask Chinese New Year Twin Pack

This limited edition gift pack brings together two bottles of The Macallan 12 Year Old Triple Cask in celebration of Chinese New Year and 2020 as the Year of the Rat, with a limited edition complementary design on the bottles and the gift pack creating a beautiful gift to signify prosperity and abundance this Chinese New Year.

Part of the Triple Cask Matured range from The Macallan, this 12-year-old Speyside single malt is crafted using a combination of European and American sherry seasoned oak casks and American ex-bourbon oak casks. The combination creates a light and vibrant whisky with a smooth character full of citrus fruits, vanilla and fresh oak.

The nose is complex with vanilla, melon and lemon zest. The palate has more citrus and vanilla, along with a light toasted oak note and some nutmeg. The finish has tropical fruits and lingering oak spice.

Chinese New Year is the beginning of the Spring Festival and is set according to the lunar calendar. In 2020, Chinese New Year takes place on Saturday 25th January, welcoming the Year of the Rat. In the Chinese zodiac, the rat represents wealth and abundance.
