Minecraft Update 1.8 Is (officially) Live

We now know that Minecraft version 1.18 (also called the "Adventure Update") is available for download semi-officially since last week. This was after a Mojang developer released the update with the studio's blessing. If you're not feeling like chasing down the file, however you can now download the update via the Minecraft launcher, which has been made available to all users.

This is not something we thought would be of any concern to our more advanced file-hunting readers. However, if you are concerned about downloading a game update that could secretly be a bestiality virus You can download the update now without any concerns.
