South Korea Wins 2-1 Lose Over Japan At 47th Korea-Japan University Selection Basketball Tournament
The Korean men's college basketball team showed a 2-1 advantage over Japan at the 47th Korea-Japan University Selection (Lee Sang-baek-bae) Basketball Competition.
South Korea, led by Dankook University coach Seok Seung-ho, lost 66-77 in the third game against Japan on the last day of the tournament held at the 2nd Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan on the 19th.
However, they won the first game 64-57 on the 17th, and the second game on the previous day also wrapped up the tournament with South Korea, which won 55-53, leading with 2 wins and 1 loss.
Kang Ji-hoon (Yon University) scored 16 points and Lee Dae-kyun (Dongguk University) scored 13 points for Korea.
Korea has dominated the men's division of the event with two wins and one loss for the fourth time in a row since 2018. The competition was not held from 2020 to 2022.
