Caesars Southern Indiana Casino Now Open to the Public

Officials at Caesars Southern Indiana today celebrated the grand opening of its $90 million land casino, which is part of the internationally renowned Caesars gaming and entertainment brand. The new casino replaces the 21-year-old Riverboat Casino that operated as Horschoux Southern Indiana.

After 18 months of construction, customers now have the opportunity to eat, play, and dine like Caesar at the 110,000-square-foot integration. It combines dining, retail, entertainment, and gaming in one multi-faceted space.

"With all the new gaming facilities, increased amenities and new restaurant offerings, Caesars Southern Indiana will enhance the customer experience," said Brad Siegel, senior vice president and general manager of Caesars Southern Indiana. Moving from the existing four-story riverboat location, the land casino will have new and modern amenities including:

- Various real slot machines, table games, poker, sportsbooks

-Piazza, a new food and beverage space with five restaurants offering a variety of culinary options

-Bolt Lounge, a new bar and lounge featuring live entertainment and craft cocktails every weekend

-Juno Bar, located in the center of the game hall, has several large flat-screen TVs surrounding the top of the bar

- Laurel Lounge, a Caesars Rewards VIP-only space with outdoor balconies

-There is a high limit of gaming space that is complimented by private stores

- No smoking game

An on-site sports betting site called "The Book" also opens to permanent locations within the casino, allowing guests to bet on a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, baseball, and hockey. The Book is open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to midnight, and on weekends from 10 a.m. to midnight. The facility is equipped with a combination of 30 large television screens and wobbly windows and kiosks, along with the entire staff who can help guests.

In addition to the spacious new ground floor casino as well as game and entertainment upgrades, guests can expect to "dine like a Caesar" at Piazza, a new food and dining area with five restaurants. Pizza, Mexican, and Asian restaurants share with 24-hour restaurants offering burgers and other fares, and a variety of culinary options are available, including a home-style restaurant offering fried chicken and barbecue ribs and other dishes.
