'Minecraft Dungeons' Will Arrive In April 2022

Game developer Mojang last year, in a surprise announcement, announced it was working on Minecraft Dungeons -- a blocky version of the classic dungeon crawlers. We now know when it will be released. The game was originally planned for release in 2019, but Microsoft is now claiming that it will be available on Xbox One, PC and Switch in April of 2019.

The game has a distinctive Minecraft style and feel However, it also challenges the series' standard strategy. Dungeons lets players allow their imaginations to run wild on a vast expanse of open space. It's an adventure game that can be played online by up to four players.

Dungeons is something of an obsession for the team of a few at Mojang, but it's not the only Minecraft spin-off. Mojang was also responsible to Minecraft: Story Mode. This narrative-driven adventure game proved very popular when it launched in the year 2015.

According to Microsoft's latest trailer, which is rather vague players who sign up on Mojang will get the chance to play Dungeons first. SERVERS could be a hint of a beta before the official launch in April. It's not clear when exactly this will happen.
