Helping a young player thrive, this is my motivation as a coach

Director Thorsten Pink revealed his philosophy.

He was a German-born midfielder who played for Dortmund and Bayern Munich as a professional player. He has served as the head coach of Salzburg, Ingolstadt, Basel, Hamburg, and Afoel. Pink has been the coach of Belgium's Sint-Trawidan since 2023.

Pink mentioned the names of two players when explaining his coach. One was Philip Lam, the German soccer front, and Son Heung-min. He was the two players who symbolized his soccer philosophy.

"My philosophy of play has always been the same. My approach to football has always been the same. I played for Bayern Munich. We always had the ball, and we played as little as possible without giving the ball to the opponent. We played well, enjoyed playing soccer. My experience as a player in Bayern Munich instilled my managerial philosophy."

"My motivation as a coach is to help young players thrive. It's about allowing everything to happen. This has always motivated me as a coach," he said.

Now, they are looking for players like Son Heung-min and Rahm at the club. Pink said, "The mentality of the kids here is the best. They ask me what I should eat and how much sleep I should get.
