There is continued strong opposition from the local community against the relocation of the professional basketball team Jeonju KCC.

He then demanded an apology, saying, “Despite difficult financial conditions, Jeonju City and the city council attempted to fulfill their promise to build an indoor gymnasium (at KCC’s home stadium) by issuing local bonds.”

 

The Jeonju City Sports Council and the Basketball Association also issued a statement, criticizing KCC's relocation decision, saying, "KCC's decision to relocate was made while completely excluding Jeonju citizens and fans," adding, "Ultimately, it was a decision that was only possible because it was treated as a means for corporate profits and ignored."

 

The Jeonbuk Patriotic Movement Headquarters also criticized KCC, saying, "KCC's relocation to Busan was due to the practical benefit that Busan has greater marketability than Jeonju," and added, "It is a typical case of admiration and ingratitude that swallows when it is sweet and spits it out when it is bitter."

 

The Jeonju branch of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, Christian organizations, and social organizations also issued statements one after another, condemning KCC's relocation and declaring that they would boycott KCC Group.
