Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented yearly to a person who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to bettering the lives of youngsters in our group.
Brian Houchins , a devoted elementary college teacher and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s education and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to improve local playgrounds, guaranteeing secure and inclusive play spaces for all kids.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15, 2024, on the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will feature speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
