Payment of 5.15 million won?

Andy Carroll has revealed why he joined Girondin de Bordeaux.

Carole, who joined Bordeaux in the fourth division of France this season, admitted that it costs money to play as a soccer player.

Carroll once had high expectations as a tall striker who can lead England. He stood out on the youth stage throughout England's national team by age, but had difficulty adapting himself to the adult stage. He left for Preston North End on loan, but things did not change much.

Carroll's turnaround began when his team Newcastle United were relegated to the second division. Carroll, who was selected as the main striker for the 2009-10 season, led the team to promotion with 19 goals and 12 assists during one season.

He continued his career in the Premier League. In the first half of the 2010-11 season alone, he had 11 goals and eight assists. In recognition of his performance, he made his A-match debut against France in November 2010.

Liverpool showed interest in Carroll during the winter transfer window of the 2010–11 season. Liverpool had a hole in its offense when its main striker Fernando Torres was suddenly transferred to Chelsea. Liverpool offered 35 million pounds (about 61.7 billion won) to Newcastle to buy Carroll.

Carroll joined Liverpool with high expectations, but failed to prove his value. After suffering from injury right after the transfer, he managed to score two goals in nine games during a half-season. The same was true of the following year. During the 2011-12 season, he recorded only nine goals and six assists in 47 games.

Since then, Carroll has played for West Ham United, Newcastle, Reading and West Bromwich Albion, but has shown little progress in terms of his childhood expectations. Carroll played for French Ligue 2 side Amiens last season.

Carroll terminated his contract with Amiens by mutual agreement last September. His destination was Bordeaux. Bordeaux was once a prestigious team recognized in France. It also produced star players such as Zinedine Zidane. In Korea, it is well known as the team where Hwang Ui-jo played.

However, Bordeaux gave up his professional club status last July due to financial problems. He was eventually demoted to the French fourth division. Under these circumstances, Carroll headed to Bordeaux. Even his salary is reported to be around 3,500 euros (about 5.15 million won).

Then, why did Carol choose Bordeaux? Honestly, playing for Bordeaux also costs money. But I am playing soccer. I am happy just by playing soccer, he said.  안전놀이터

The conditions had no effect on Carroll's choice. Carroll said, I want to be part of the history of this club. It wasn't about money, to be honest. There was never a money problem in my career.
