[Asian Games] Kim Si-woo, “My Juniors have Good Skills… Only Ggood Things Happen After Marriage”

Jo Woo-young and Jang Yu-bin immediately turn professional and participate in the KPGA Korean Tour competition

Kim Si-woo, who won a total of four wins on the PGA Tour, highly praised the skills of his junior players, Woo-young Cho and Yu-bin Jang (Korea National Sport University).

Kim Si-woo hit 7 under par 65 in the 4th round of golf at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games held at the West Lake International Golf Course in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China on the 1st. 먹튀검증가이드

Kim Si-woo, who recorded a final total of 23 under par 265 strokes, failed to win a medal as he placed 4th in the individual event, but shared the gold medal with Lim Seong-jae, Jo Woo-young, and Jang Yu-bin in the team event.

Regarding the skills of the juniors, Si-Woo Kim said, "Actually, I saw these two players for the first time, and they have good physiques and can go much further than me."

He added, "I think they will be able to come to the PGA Tour in the future, and they did well in the beginning in this tournament as well.

“I and (Lim) Seongjae were able to do it without any burden,” he praised.

After winning the gold medal, he said, "Actually, I was very stressed because I thought I had to win the gold medal to get my due," and added, "But I am very happy that I worked so hard and won the team event."

When asked to compare the gold medal at this tournament and winning the PGA Tour, he replied, "Both are good, but I'm so happy and proud that I can win a gold medal representing my country like this."

Kim Si-woo is a ‘golf player couple’ who married Oh Ji-hyun, who won 7 times on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour, last year.

He expressed his gratitude, saying, "I don't have a good personality, so I'm very picky, but because people around me always say a lot of good things, only good things happen to me.

I got married in December last year, and this year was the best season of my career."

Kim Si-woo, who announced the birth of the 'second generation' through social media last month, said, "My wife is currently alone in the United States with the baby, and I want to go and see her quickly."

Two amateurs, Wooyoung Jo and Yubin Jang, will turn professional immediately after this tournament.

The Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Korean Tour Hyundai Marine & Fire Choi Gyeong-ju Invitational, which opens on the 5th, is their professional debut.

As the Asian Games, which were originally scheduled to be held last year, were postponed to this year due to the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), these players also postponed their professional debut by a year.

Jang Yu-bin said, “We actually gained more during the time we waited,” and added, “I especially learned a lot from watching my brothers’ great shots and short games.”

In particular, it is said that teamwork was strengthened while sharing the cup ramen prepared by Jang Yu-bin.

Jang Yu-bin was happy, saying, "I tend to prepare cup ramen because I don't like foreign food, but I brought more than usual and the time I spent eating cup ramen served as an opportunity for me to become closer with my brothers."

Regarding advancing to the United States, he said, "I plan to challenge for the second division PGA tour seed at the end of next year," and expressed his determination, "I don't know when it will be in 2 to 3 years at the earliest, but if I don't give up and work hard, I will definitely be able to get there."

Jo Woo-young also said, "I was able to achieve such good results because my brothers and (Jang) Yu-bin were so reassuring.

I waited for the competition for three years, so I'm happy to go to Korea with such good results."

Although he was 14 strokes ahead of second place by the third round, Woo-young Jo said, "I talked to my brothers the day before, saying, 'Let's not let our guard down until the end.'"

He added, "I was worried that it would be a loss to my brothers playing on the PGA Tour, but we did well in the first and second rounds.

“I was able to relieve the burden,” he said.

Regarding delaying turning professional in order to participate in this competition, he said, "Actually, there was a question mark as to whether waiting was the right choice," and emphasized, "But today I can prove the result, so I want to tell myself that I worked hard all this time."

He emphasized that it was a decision he had no regrets about.
