Breakfast Topic: Would you like to Build your own Version Of WoW?

This Breakfast Topic has been brought to you by Seed, the AOL guest writer program that brings your writing to WoW Insider's pages.

I was in awe of this after reading about the World of Starcraft mod. What if we could have the tools for scenario-building and maps that have been a part of every Blizzard RTS since Warcraft II?
here we go again

This isn't totally absurd. Superhero MMO City of Heroes uses the Mission Architect. This lets players develop and create their own content through a series of missions that creates a story. When I first saw the idea for this feature, I was convinced that this was the future, since it eases the burden off of designers.

Making a quest creator, or a much more powerful editor would allow us to examine the imagination of the community and give roleplayers a better tool to tell their stories. It's definitely better than the illegal option of hosting a private WoW server.

Imagine if there was a Well of Possible Timelines within the Caverns or Time for instanced games that were created by players... What would you do when you had a WoW quest maker? What if you were able to create quests that let you play as lore characters like The Hunter and the Prince. Or would you try to put your own spin on the kill 10 boars quest? Would you design quests that let you travel through the Emerald Dream? Would your RP quest to help find your father who has been missing for a long time go over well with your RP buddies and the general public? What is your ideal idea of an adventure?
