EVE Online Server is Offline Due To DDOS Attack

EVE Online login and website servers went down for a little over an hour ago. A Twitter user claiming to be the culprit for the significant PSN downtime earlier in the month claims to be the one responsible for the EVE server's downtime. Minecraftservers According to the user, the DDOS is part of a series attacks today that have also shut down the Minecraft login servers as well as The Escapist magazine's website.

CCP released an update on Facebook and Twitter stating that the issue is currently under investigation. "EVE Online, as well as related services, are currently offline. We will resume service when we can after an investigation into a few issues." CCP was unable to discuss the issue further but advises players to follow the EVE Twitter and Facebook feeds for updates as they become available.
