Why Do Religions Believe In God?

God's nature is utterly untainted by wrong; the Holy God is the creator of virtues like honesty, patience, purity, holiness, love, and much more, and this is the blueprint He followed when designing our planet.

Can You Not Believe In God And Go To Heaven?

God wants us to live our lives in a certain way because that's who He is, not just to give us a hard time. He is permanently confined to his current role or identity. God only behaves in ways that are in line with His essential self.
These are the permanent laws of the universe that will always remain the same.
The God described in the Bible made the entire universe and even things too small for us to see. Seek the truth in the Bible about this:

"I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. (Isaiah 42:8)
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. (Deuteronomy 4:24)
The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. (Psalm 113:4)
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)
All the angels were standing around the throne...They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (Revelation 7:11)


Most people today only know about God, but haven't really met Him.

We're all part of God's property, and He just wants what belongs to Him. We're called to love Him and serve Him in response to His love.
It can be hard to grasp, but God has full authority over the world like it's His personal toy. We would have control over the rules if we created something. Despite everything, God conveys:

'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.' (Deuteronomy 6:5-6)

If God got rid of danger, we'd have to be robots to have an easy life. But that's not what God had in view for us. God wanted beings that could freely choose to love Him or not.
A being that had some likeness to God.

If you give someone the freedom to decide, they might choose to walk away from you, which is a danger.

Giving someone the freedom to decide can result in them defying you, and that's what happened to us.
There's an issue because we all do things that are considered wrong, and the Bible calls this sin. Going against God's nature and holiness through these things is like breaking the unchangeable laws of the universe that He put in place. We've become distant from God because of these bad things we've done.

'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?'(Jeremiah 17:9)
'But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.' (Psalm 19:12)

Be conscious of the fact that every negative action creates a debt towards God that must be repaid.

What we're in debt to God for:
'And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.' (Matthew 6:12)

All these things are not in line with God's perfect purity. Do you understand?
God says stealing is wrong in the Bible. Have you ever stolen something before?
The Bible imparts the lesson that coveting others' possessions is morally wrong. Have you ever grappled with envy regarding your friend's partner, existence, possessions, or dwelling?
We're supposed to show honor to our parents as God commands. Did you ever answer your parents back rudely?
God forbids using His Name in vain or flippantly. Did you ever use God's Name casually or without proper respect?

No secret is safe from God, He knows everything. Don't ignore any bad thing; they all need to be fixed. At some point, we will have to account for every bad thing. Another way to put it is, finding reconciliation with the unchangeable laws of the universe. Or as the Bible puts it, to calm down God's anger. It's a surprise to many because they've been taught that God's love is unconditional for all. People have come to believe that God could never be angry with anyone, no matter how much they do wrong. It's common for people who don't understand the basics to argue that God is supposed to love us unconditionally.
We can't just talk about God's love for the world, we also need to understand His holiness. That's just not possible.

Trying to understand the eternal God through our expectations, behavior, and earthly norms proves impossible.
He's beyond our wildest imaginations, but the Bible tells us about Him. Trying to make God follow our rules is like trying to control something that's not meant to be controlled.

It's not God's fault when bad things happen, even though some people try to place the blame on Him. The things He created were perfect. Adam made an error and now we all make errors.

In the Word of God, it is said...

'For all have sinned (done wrongs things), and do need the glory of God. wrongs' (Romans 3:23)

Only being good and doing good things won't save you from the consequences of bad thoughts and behavior. Jesus Christ is the only one who can rescue you. Going to church and being a nice person won't automatically save you from hell. The first step to being forgiven by God is being honest with ourselves and acknowledging our wrongdoings. Once we ask for forgiveness, we must live our lives solely for God.
Again, according to the Bible, the consequences of our wrong choices can lead to an eternity in hell:

'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Romans 6:23)

The Solution God Provided for Your Bad Choices

Even though we mess up, God found a way to make it okay with His rules that always stay the same.
God's plan for salvation involved Jesus Christ dying, being buried, and rising from the dead. The amazing plan was carried out in public, before all creation: people, angels, and even Satan saw it. Only one method can make amends for our wrongs.

Many people argue, "Why is God so strict if He is a God of love?" Love is a central aspect of God's makeup., but, as the Bible says, God's justice is an essential aspect of His love. It's not an either/or situation, it's both.
God's truth can't be fully understood by our own ways of thinking. It's not appropriate to expect God to follow our rules because it doesn't reflect His character. You can't hide your thoughts from God because He knows everything.

Surrendering to God After Saying Sorry

If you feel genuinely remorseful for your mistakes, you'll naturally want to dedicate your life to God. God tells us to do precisely this. We can choose to make God our lifelong boss. And we obey all the Bible says.
That, is the right order of things, the Bible says:

'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)

God didn't say this, not ever; 'Be kind and do good for others, and you'll be saved and come to heaven with me.'
Here's what the Most High God has to say about getting forgiveness for your sins:

'To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:

"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed:'God, I thank you that I am not like other people--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said,'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Luke 18:9-14)

The man in the story followed religion and didn't do "bad" sins like rape, but God still didn't forgive him.
The tax collector was forgiven by God because he had a change of heart and repented. It is hard to admit our mistakes and hand our lives over to God. But, to be saved from our mistakes, we must humble ourselves before God and surrender.

Jesus Christ uttered:

'He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
'And said, “Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.' (Matthew 18:2-3)

Just Doing Good Things For God Will Not Save Us Being Saved From Hell Is Not By Being Good Good Person Your Debt Cannot Be Paid By Being A Good Person Exceptionally Good Person

'You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.' (Ephesians 2:8)

Is It Worth Risking Eternal Damnation In Hell For A Few Moments Of Sinful Pleasure?

'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)

Taking up your cross means following God's plan for your life and not your own desires.

The Scriptures teach us that:

'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)

'But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.' (1Peter 3:15)

To give a final summary:

You acknowledge your wrongdoings in front of God. You sincerely seek forgiveness for your wrongdoing. Jesus Christ becomes your master. It's a commitment that spans a lifetime. Our lives are guided by the Bible's instructions to live for God. Read the Bible daily to learn about God. Setting aside time every day to pray to God. Letting others know about the hope we have in Christ. Being directed by God to serve others. Your life's purpose is to please God Most High.
And then we go to heaven with our Heavenly Father.
