Achillobator Improvements & Raptors' Pounce Overhaul
Full suggestion:
As a relatively new player I especially enjoy playing as any of the raptors. However, I do feel as though they aren't living up to their full potential as it relates to combat. I've noticed there are quite a few posts that seemed to be more about complaining about raptors, rather than giving real suggestions that would positively impact gameplay.
Achillo: I spend the most time playing it, but i notice it takes fall damage from some simple drop offs and lacks speed when compared to things of ±500 CW like metri or alio.. which easily catch up to an achillo, especially one using a raptor support build rather than the solo build with a slight speed buff when hit.
Pounce: I think i speak for all raptor mains when i say it would be amazing if raptors were able to pin down smaller prey, using the pounce ability (see attached image). It would also be great to allow achillo to pounce and latch onto any dinos of higher combat weight, and not limited to the upper bracket.
Continued:
Achillo (Prt 2): It would be nice to have increased fall damage resistance, or even a slight speed or acceleration increase for achillobator so it can stand more of a chance when playing defensively. This would be helpful for both group and solo players. I've presented these ideas to many other players, and they all seem to agree these would be great changes that would improve playability.
Achillo (Prt 3): Using its support build can be a great asset to any raptor team, but as it currently stands, facing anything its size means it can be outpaced and worn down quickly when left unguarded by the rest of smaller raptors. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way complaining about other dino's stats or asking to nerf them, what I'd like to see are slight improvements to achillo's survivability or defensive options, allowing it to have a better chance when engaging other specialized dinos.
Pounce (Prt 2): The pin down mechanic could work similar to a hatz's or sarco's grab, where it sort of snaps the dino into place, except in this case it pins the target in question to the ground. It could be done in a way where it functions as a secondary ability to pounce and only applies when pouncing targets of lower CW. The target would be allowed to struggle to break free from the raptor's grip. This could also drain stamina to keep the target pinned down and limit the raptor to using only it's normal bite to do damage while in this position.

Rant: (You don't have to read this, but it's just my honest opinions)
- For those who heavily complain about raptors being "broken", it's clear to see they've never actually played as a raptor in any serious sense. Believe it or not, it does take a great degree of skill to take down anything the same size and up, especially solo. For groups of 7+ small raptors pouncing a single rex, that's an extreme and rare case, it's not even worth complaining about. A solo [anything bigger than laten] can easily destroy the small raptors in 1-3 hits the moment they make a mistake, not to mention players being able to damage them while they're latched.
Solo achillo is arguably a lot less viable. Achillo is very powerful in a group, but on the other hand you're handicapped playing solo; achillo by itself is relatively slow for what it is and will more often than not struggle against any herbivore or bigger carnivore that's not already a bad player, pounce is almost never used since you can only pounce a handful of dinos which as mentioned can already easily destroy achillo if playing as a sweat is not your playstyle. It puzzles me every time what the devs are really trying to achieve when they made achillo mostly group focused and at such a disadvantage. Most of the time you never see an achillo in a group it's built for anyway. All I ask, is provide more options to improve the solo achillo experience. Mobile players may even have the worse end of this.. I love playing as achillo, but these things detract from the experience.
