What are the best Minecraft cities? Minecraft is packed with jaw-dropping designs, it's one of the most enjoyable building games available, and it seems that the community's creativity is no boundaries. Many Minecraft cities have been appearing, and are available to anyone to download and explore.
Creators have brought their favourite shows movies, games, and games to life with incredible Minecraft creations, including a Minecraft Hogwarts map, The Titanic and even an reimagining of Lord of the Rings' Middle-earth. It's not surprising that some of the most famous pop culture cities like Gotham and King's Landing are now available to explore in Minecraft.
We've looked through and explored tons of Minecraft cities and these are some of the best Minecraft cities we've encountered, they all include instructions for downloading and range from a built-up town interspersed with nature to compact urban living.
Here are the best Minecraft cities:
Mattupolis Greenfield
King's Landing
Novigrad
Sayama City
Mattupolis
Mattupolis is a growing collection of towering buildings and bustling streets. The creator Matias draws inspiration from Seattle and Vancouver with a desire to bridge urban environments and natural scenery. Mattupolis is an oasis of high rise towers and districts that have distinct ambiances and landmarks that you can marvel at such as the Seattle Space Needle.
Greenfield
Greenfield by The Jestr is one of the biggest cities in Minecraft and also the largest too. It is possible to spend hours wandering through the various areas, from the financial district to the city port, which is filled with containers. There's incredible city detail in Greenfield from squalid residential homes as well as a skyline of cranes, and the maze of trains.
King's Landing
This King's Landing map from WesterosCraft can be used to recreate the city that hosts Game of Thrones. Minecraft It has all the iconic landmarks that you would expect from The Great Sept of Baelor and The Red Keep. This means you can walk the streets of King's Landing without all the bloodshed and violence that the series is famous for.
The town inspired by Novigrad from ElysiumFire may not be the sleek urban sprawl of other Minecraft cities on this list however, with its stunning architecture, tight alleyways and medieval red-roofed buildings it's still a glorious view to see in a blocky vision. Novigrad is an ode to The Witcher 3 although it's not a exact copy, but it captures the dynamism of the extended fishing community, which includes an aqueduct and cathedral.
Sayama City
This modern japanese city has been in construction for a while and has been the most talked about Minecraft city due to its absurd attention to detail. SayamaCityProject first released images of Sayama City. We were amazed by the realism and how well the project captures the beauty of Japanese cities, including Osaka and Tokyo.
We'll continue to explore Minecraft cities and provide you with the top cities available. You can also explore other amazing Minecraft designs, as well as some of the top maps available in Minecraft in case you're looking to find some peace away from the bustling city.
