Baek Seung-ho is likely to stay in Birmingham

Baek Seung-ho 27, Birmingham City played his first game in the third division.

Birmingham held a 1-1 draw in the opening round of the 2024/25 English Football League EFL League 1 third tier at St Andrews @ Nighthead Park in Birmingham on the 10th.

The result was a bit disappointing. Birmingham had been in control throughout the match but was hampered by lack of scoring ability. They outpaced their ball possession ratio by a whopping 8:2, but rather, they were dragged away by Kelvin Ehibatiomann when he scored the first goal in the 42nd minute of the first half. Without Alfie Mae's equalizer in the 42nd minute of the second half, they would have been humiliated by losing the opening game of their home game.

Birmingham, which suffered a bitter taste of relegation to 22nd place in the EFL Championship last season, secured a large number of key players and had a more active summer transfer market than anyone else. Core players including Arsenal players Christian Bielike, Baek Seung-ho, and Koji Miyoshi remained, and the team focused on the summer transfer market by recruiting the best midfielder Wilm Sor Willumson of the Eredivis. It is no exaggeration to say that the team comprised the best players in the third division.

However, the news of Paik's stay is not always welcome to Korean soccer fans. Paik immediately took the main role after leaving the K League 1 Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC in January this year and settled in Birmingham, but his teacher Tony Mowbray seemed to lay down the baton due to health problems and, worse, seek a faster-than-expected transfer as he could not avoid relegation.   안전 슬롯사이트

In fact, according to leading local media, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers have expressed interest in recruiting Baek Seung-ho. In the case of Sunderland, they also competed to recruit Baek when they transferred to Birmingham. This shows that they truly want Baek Seung-ho.

However, as Chris Davis, the new coach to Birmingham, solidified his stance to recruit Baek to advance to the championship, an ideal atmosphere was formed. Two years left before signing his contract. This does not seem to be an ideal situation to escape from the third division.

Fortunately, there is enough time before the transfer window closes. According to the EFL, the deadline for this summer's transfer window is 7 a.m. on the 31st Korea Standard Time, and regardless of the regular season, the team can try to recruit players from other teams.
