1Now Lets talk about **Umineko's Cosmology and Mech**...*Oh god*: The cosmology is about the loss of **"restrictions"** Lets start with a fundamental part: **Fragments/Kakera**: Fragments/Kakera is an vital part of the 07th Cosmology are Kakera/Fragments (sometimes they are also called pieces). They look like small crystals, but they actually are the conceptual form of things such as lower worlds, parallel worlds, fates, possibilities, Plots, theories, games, fictional stories, game software, comics, books, and other things we are not told about, etc, and so on. They also representing parallel universes with different possibilities. The Sea of Fragments is filled with an endless number of these. All fragments (in terms of alternate territories) are in a hierarchy, Their a "circle" which reference to the structure of how alice (and assumabley other higher beings) was trying to reach their truth. Each loop through the three fragments must've created a "circle" bigger than the last This means: "truth" is likely the ultimate reality that encompasses all the fragments and their a progression of understanding or of existence. This implies an upward, potentially infinite, spiral of existence/understanding, where each cycle brings one closer to the ultimate, all-encompassing "truth" or a "higher domain" of reality. This is the Hanyuu's territory which she views them as "pieces" or fiction. And again, inside the tale we are told that there are infinite timelines based off MWI and a fifth dimension **Each fragment banches into infinity. This once specificallty is a higher narrative "dimension": There seems to be a higher dimension above the normal ones where the story of the human world is stopped, and Pieces of Higher Beings can fight using abilities such as Red or Blue Truth. Normal beings aren't aware of the existence of this higher dimension. **The "Poles" of Umineko** Umineko consists of a metaphysical evolutionary journey of being from where all beings are placed somewhere between two poles: The side that creates fate, and the side that follows it. The first pole: The bottom "side" of these limits is the Human Domain, humans are the ones tossed by Fate, since they're stupid, helpless, and can't create anything worthwhile. However, unlike the world of witches, the Human Domain has a ground to hold on to that will not betray them if they take a wrong step in their journey. The domain between them: The Witch Domain, or the world of witches is the 2nd domain (Which i will get into later) and is in the middle of these two extremes, different from the world of the Gods and the Human World, the witch world create fate and play around with it, and fun what that freedom, however, they have certain limits and restrictions since the world of witches is made up of only thoughts the beings here are also purely abstract, and if they lose their meaning of being they fall down into the depths of Oblivion. The world of witches is like an infinite ladder (Which i will also get into later), therefore is an infinite/endless layered world, where those layers are called steps of "endeavors" or "fragments" or "territories" that lead to the bottomless depths, and any witch who takes a wrong step here falls into these depths at the bottom of the sea of ​​fragments. The Last Pole: While not literally a "boundary" but rather the highest possible domain, it is described as one of Umineko's "extremes", and is the "side" that creates fate are the gods and the creators, they're omniscient and almighty, and they create everything and have no restrictions placed upon them while there is no kind of "ground" to limit their greatness. Unlike beings of the Witch Domain who fall into the Depths of Oblivion for losing the meaning of their very beings, a God or a Creator loses the restrictions of "meaning", and the very concept of life and death disappears for them, and they reach the limit of zero, or you can say that their existence is so great that doesn't even exist. I will all get into these much later **Catboxs**: There are many Quantum Structures in Umineko. One specifically is Schrodinger's Cat Box, which are usual call catboxs is a reasoning technique and a structure that asserts that multiple truths about an event can exist in parallel when the event itself has not been observed In Umineko, Schrodinger's cat box is used to describe the state of Rokkenjima from October 4 to 5, 1986. The physics of the original thought experiment isn't a metaphor here; what is important is the idea of an unobserved entity with multiple possible states. Catboxs, ass i said before, is a reasoning technique (and a real structure) which asserts that multiple truths about an event can exist in parallel when the event itself has not been observed. More specifically A Catbox is a complex quantum structure based on the famous concept of Schrodinger's Cat. A/The Catbox contains infinite Truths, here "truth" meaning universe/stories. Those Truths take the form of Wave Functions and exist simultaneously at the same time, even if they contradict each other. Catbox as a whole is stated to exist deep within Witches Domain and even Lambdadelta commented on how quickly the Magic Formula (referring to Catbox) was going through the ladder, reaching the level of Lambdadelta who reached those levels in thousands of years (It should be noted that while time doesn't exist in witch domain, Witches can create concepts they usually aren't bound to so that they do not lose their wills and their forms.). This means that Catbox is at a fairly high level on Infinite Ladder, where each lower layer is seen as fiction from higher ones. The exact level of Transcendence is unknown, however, it is fair to say it is placed quite high in the ladder. It is also called "Multi-Layered Worlds", which could hit back at the layered hierarchy of the Kakera contents. (Multiple Catboxes exists throughout all of 07th Expansion, like Beatrice's Catbox, Bernkastel's, or Hanyuu's.) Reality truths are treated as physical constants, they can be particles, wave functions, and they can be conflicting forms at the same time, and any of them are abstract theories that can only be refuted when you open the catbox, or a very simple way of understanding this is; When the work shows the only and single truth about two or more, or even endless suppositions that conflict. Each Truths is an entire universe or story; after all, each episode is a truth created as a tale by the game master in a chessboard, a kakera. Multiple Catboxes exist throughout Umineko **Netherworld**: Netherworld is the world to which the island of Rokkenjima always goes when it is cut off from the human world by Beatrice, this universe is a parallel world to the physical world, being superior to it. Infinite ideas of what heat is will be encompassed under that truth even conflicting and contradicting ideas of heat like cold and freezing heat. T There are hundreds of examples, such as Virgilia explaining what the game board was to Battler. Eva-Beatrice questioning why Beatrice was not so bad as in what Ronove told her. Battler after getting annoyed with Beatrice entering the game board, and staying in a higher layer where no one saw him. The narrative saying that Battler's piece could not see Beatrice's piece while she was in a "higher dimension." Dimensions are quantifiable and infinitely superior to lower ones. Since objects mostly of a lower dimension that is infinite, they will not be infinite in a higher dimension. At the beginning of Episode 5, Ushiromiya Battler as the Detective decides to mess with the Chess Board in the same way Beatrice did as the Game Master in the Chess Board's Multiverse through the past fours episodes. He recreates all the past four episodes to understand the reasonings and why Beatrice killed the white pieces through these games/episodes. Even though Battler was, at the time, was a human soul who had no extraordinary power like being "a finite, endless, witch or a demon, etc." Just because it exists in the meta-world, it already could affect the entire chess-world, being infinitely superior to the point of being able to recreate past worlds (episodes) just to analyze Beatrice's decisions. So from that moment on it's not just about being a higher dimension superior to something from a lower one, but it's the point that something that has an infinite volume in a lower dimension is nothing/non-existent for those in the higher dimension. Beyond that last concept, we find the conceptual layer of pieces of different truths, an unity of matter and spirit, and here is contained the concept of Kulturkreis. Gameboard is the lowest level of existence in the catbox Gameboard contains endless fragments within it, but each time just one of them is played Beatrice's Catbox contains Infinity Parallel Worlds Lambdadelta was toyed as a witches piece in the past and the same has hapened to Bernkastel (Reference to Higurashi) [probably in their human or pesdo/pre witch form aka Rika) and that was Confirmation to be a gameboard It's stated to contain all endless/Infinite fragments inside the catbox within itself, although one of the worlds inside it is played each time. To further prove it contains all fragments in the catbox inside it, it should be comparable to Hanyu's gameboard which contains Infinite Fragments of possibilities. The world below the game board is Gaap's world/the underside of the game board this world exists in no space and no time, and questions like where is this or what time is it hold no meaning; all of time and space lead to here, but it cannot reach this world. Coming from what we figured out, several numbers are most likely to come out. “The number that will most likely come out is 3,5”. There are probably quite a few people who will come up with that conclusion. However, a die only has numbers from 1 to 6. In other words, it’s not possible to get 3,5. Probably, a die that has a side with 3,5 isn’t sold anywhere. I guess some people will try to get close to 3,5 by throwing a die multiple times, but it’s “an average you get when you throw several dice”, not “a die”. The numbers on the sides of dice are from 1 to 6, and the probability of getting each number exists at the “same time” equally. Like in a game of odd and even, you put die into an opaque cup. What number will die inside a cup show? I’d like to say it’s 3,5, but that number isn’t carved out on a die. Which means, there are 6 “worlds” inside a cup, each for one side of a die. This hypothesis of 6 worlds existing at the same time is called “Many-worlds theory” or “Everett’s theory” in quantum mechanics. ※This “Many-worlds theory” speaks about “probable worlds” that exist at the same time, not about SF stuff like on more Earth on the other side of the Moon… (In other words, it doesn’t mean that just because you can get any number out of 6, there are 6 different Earths in this world)." This is a bit of a more weird world from reality, where even ghosts can interact with living humans. And as I said, the world of Daydreams has its own versions of the Yokai, including Renoir, who can transport beings into fictional worlds, meaning that even the fictions of the Daydream are their own worlds on a lower layer. This opens the possibilities for an endless recursion of lower worlds, as fictions and dreams of one world exist as their own on a lower level, and so on. The material world is where all the stories and lower worlds can be found, it is the first reality in our ladder and has its own boundaries. While the Humans (specifically normal humans) don't have the power to create anything, they have the ground under their feet. This means that Humans don't need to actively define their existence (like higher order beings), and can go day to day without the fear of losing one's self. They also don't evolve through the layers of the Human Domain, as their only form of evolution is into a Higher Order being into the Witch Domain. Humans aren't even aware of the layers of their Domain or about the complexity of their reality, they are pretty much watching the shadows on the cave's wall without knowing of the existence of the fire behind them, or of the world outside of the cave. The white cells are the Human World, the Real World, here simple Cultural concepts reside; while the black cells are the Supernatural World and the Spiritual World. Various transdimensional space, the world of demons, spirits, gods, illusions, side in any number of dimensions. Different from humans by their rules and logic. Those are Higher-Worlds with non-linear time (or non at all), where the concepts of the Human World don't exist or if they exist they are irrelevant and follow a complete different science-explanation. Now, Lets move on from the latter **Meta-World**: Meta-World is Outside of the Gameboard, outside of fragments; where Fragments are like books from outside. The Meta-World exists outside of the gameboard and "Outside" in when they cry is often used for a higher level of existence where the lower level is a fiction. This is supported in TRianThology where Alice sees Fragments like manga or game software from outside, Seeing the Gameboard as a fiction. It is a layer of the Infinite Hierarchy, and it's usually visisted by Witches considering that the Meta-World is actually the main living place of Witches. In this world, the gameboard is viewed as a Chessboard or as a Fragment and concepts are meaningless to the ones who reside there. Meta-World beings can freely travel between this world and the various locations of Beato's Territory. In this place, the characters can view characters and lower locations as nothing more than a chessboard, and can control the various pawns (lower world characters) with their own hands. The Meta-World is one of the most important realities of the Realm of Witches. It looks like Rokkenjima at first,but as revealed by Tsubasa it is much vaster than that. This world is where every Meta-Being reside, and it is known for encompassing several metaphysical worlds outside Umineko's territory. In this world, all, all lower-worlds can be viewed as a Chessboard, or they can manifest here in the form of lower-world crystals (crystals that ONLY contain the events/EPs inside Beato's Cat Box. The Lower-World crystals are stored in the Sea of Fragment (lower-version)).In this world, concept are meaningless to Meta-Beings (even existence, death, life and non-existence). If they stop thinking, they will die and then would be erased from existence, but that doesn't matter, it is simply a matter of interest and concern to them. Not even a weapon that negates all concepts upon summong can actually affect Meta-Beings in any way. Battler go to a higher layer to scream why the chick younger Beato was not like the original Beato, and in the end, Genji follows him to that higher narrative layer. In episode six, Battler creates a game board on the ep6 game board called the Love Trial game board. Every possibility include all the universe... but she only mostly focus on Rokkenjima for the murderer and the story itself, while other fragments could have a single story but of someone fighting for the country/planet/universe/multiverse or whatever, for example, another story could have someone who have to protect his multiverse (which may be bigger than beatrice catbox) from someone, the fragments is bigger than beatrice's one but it's only one tale. It is a world that trandsends concepts, especially the concept of having your wishes granted because you don't need anything. It is located outside the gameboard and Beatrice could hold gameboard in her hand from there. Golden Land is also at a higher level of Transcendent due to being "Outside" of the Gameboard, it is at least at the same level of Meta-World. There's something interesting, Maria can make her own golden land like in the battle between her and erika and we are told that she views this as fiction as she (being outside her gameboard) is a higher order being. This is perfectly valid scaling as maria tells ange people's perspectives of the world are real because it reflects their internal universes. This of course includes Gods, demons and spirits. We also have Gaap's darkness, which transcends any concept of space and time and lies outside it. It is also inside the territory so it definitely applies to the Human domain described as being in between the magic and human world. Given the quantum nature of the catbox we can infer that it is likely also has a hilbert space since the Dice analogy is also used when describing other possibilities. **The existence of this world is mantained by Beatrice's Golden Heart.** and thus would scale to such (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIGHLY-eZrI&feature=youtu.be) This world is Beato's private and form here, she can view all the lower-worlds as a chessboard, and she can interact or messing with it at will. It's connected to the Smoking Room The golden land is made up of the crystalization of Maria Ushiromiya and Beatrice's thoughts and feelings and is a universe outside and is universally above the Smoking Room and the Cathedral. Golden Land was never mentioned to be a layer above to the Smoking Room and the Cathedral, however, it is worth knowing that while Theory Goats were eating the game board and the upper realms of the territory in episode 8, Kinzo said that Golden Land was the only way for them to escape, as it was the most impenetrable realm in the territory. So even though it was not said to be a higher layer, episode 8 portrays the Golden Land as being the last and impenetrable layer of the territory before the Game Master, hence by the nature, is a higher layer. **Sea of Framengts of Beatrice's Catbox**: This is the first sea of ​​fragments (**Not the true one, more on that later**) presented in the work in episode 5. The same principle about loss of self that applied for the true Sea also applies to this piece of the Sea. As said previously, because of the lack of a definite baseline for the Witch Domain, I’ll consider this layer as being the baseline. Their also a "true sea of fragments", with one book within featherine domain containing these (More on that later) **Sea of Fragments inside Beatrice's Gameboard**: This sea of fragments is below the Meta-World and it contains countless fragments in Beatrice's Gameboard. It is likened to a "Pitch-Black Universe" by Battler. It should be comparable to the Sea of Fragments in Hanyu's gameboard, as they both contain Infinite Possibility Fragments inside the gameboard and Hanyu's Gameboards Sea of Fragments is "Outside" of the entirety of Higurashi Fragments and see them as fiction and also stated to be part of "World of Gods" (In context referring to Witch Domain, as that is how it is mostly used in Higurashi). Because of being part of the Witch Domain **Maria's Ushiromiya Chessboard** Maria's Chessboard still exists within Beato's. It is the representation of Maria's sad life. This allows for a more robust framework when dealing with paradoxical statements or abilities. They can deal with things Liar Paradox, Russell's Paradox, Robustness in Knowledge Base and it challenging the Notion of absolute truth. But they are presumably in the middle between the people (mortals / those who follow destiny) and the gods. However, Lambdadelta's statement is not completely wrong. As senators, Lambdadelta and Bernkastel can manipulate the fate of inferior people as they please, and they like to be called "gods". Voyagers do not have a form, nor a starting meaning. They are abstract concepts, rules related to the Creator, it is said that at the end of their journey of a "Voyager", the latter / or is destined to become a Creator, and overcome the limits of meaning, death, life and all the concepts in general. There is no one who has a greater level of understanding of the world (except Creator Witches). They are the only beings who can understand something about becoming a Creator and they are afraid of it. They can see the evolutionary potential of other beings, even if these creatures do not know it or if they already advanced on the stairs even further than the Voyagers. All these things that someone can go crazy due to awareness of some heights works inside the very layer (because they can't perceive the higher layer). But manifestations of the Voyagers are always in the highest positions within the layer they are. The Voyagers are coward beings, afraid to become creators, therefore, despite their potential, they limit themselves to simply being concepts linked by a strong connection with the Creator. In fact, the "Voyagers" are gods that exist at the same time in every layer of the infinite hierarchy, always at the top of each layer. This is their true nature, and their presence is omnipresent, unbounded by the limits of death, dimensionality and concepts. As their absolute form, they manipulate the existence and of lower beings and lower worlds. But this happens, again, only when they manifest their nature. But then she became her own person, and created a miracle in order to solve the game Hanyuu created, and then defeated Miyo. Because Voyagers don't have a territory they are limited to, their laws, like i stated above, work everywhere, and therefore they are free in their journey. This applies to the traveling though the different worlds and this also applies to traveling through the evolutionary ladder. Their nature already covers all this, no matter how high they raise the unstable values of their individualities. Indeed they limit themselves, but their laws are fundamental factors that the Creator, well, created. And factor is, IMO, the perfect word to describe that. While it may be a law, it is actually a factor. One of the factors that keep the multiverse alive, one of the principal factors that establishes the forces of the universes, they are universal factors that cannot have more than one definition as they are what they are, people cannot think of those in other ways, those factors are true, people may not believe in those which means that in their world those factors won't influence it at all, but they still exist everywhere and anywhere. From this we know that this domain is also a hierarchy of layers, but how large is this hierarchy? Well, it is infinite, because one’s journey to the Creator has no endpoint by definition.
