Do I Have To Believe In God?

In God's nature, there exists not even the faintest stain of impurity; the Holy One is the originator of virtues like honesty, patience, purity, holiness, love, and much more, which are also reflected in the creation of our planet.

Can Someone Believe In God But Not Be Saved?

God's expectations for us are based on His own nature, not to be unnecessarily difficult. He is forever limited to being and doing what he currently is. God's actions reflect His fundamental nature.
It's like the unshakable laws that keep the universe in order.
The God spoken of in the Bible is the one who created everything in the universe, including the invisible bits. Read what the Bible says in this chapter:

"I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. (Isaiah 42:8)
For the LORD your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. (Deuteronomy 4:24)
The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens. (Psalm 113:4)
Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. (1 Chronicles 29:11)
All the angels were standing around the throne...They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, (Revelation 7:11)


Most people today only have a surface-level understanding of God, they haven't truly connected with Him.

We belong to God, along with everything else, and He just wants what's His. He wants us to love and serve Him in return for all He's done for us.
God is the one in charge of the world He made, and He can do what He wants with it. We would have control over the rules if we created something. God says differently:

'Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.' (Deuteronomy 6:5-6)

God chose not to remove danger to make life easier because it would mean we wouldn't have free will and be like robots. But that's not what God had in view for us. He wanted beings that had free will and would choose to love Him.
A being with some similarity to God Himself.

If you give someone the freedom to decide, they might choose to walk away from you, which is a danger.

Creating something that can choose for itself is risky because it might go against your wishes, which is what we did.
It's a problem because we all have flaws or do things that the Bible considers to be wrong. Doing these things goes completely against God's nature and holiness, and it's like breaking the unbreakable laws of the universe that He created. We are no longer in a good place with God because of these wrong things.

'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?'(Jeremiah 17:9)
'But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.' (Psalm 19:12)

Remember that every bad decision carries an obligation towards God that must be fulfilled by you.

What we must repay to God:
'And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.' (Matthew 6:12)

These things go against God's perfect purity. Can you see it?
Taking things that don't belong to you is a no-no, according to God in the Bible. Have you ever done that?
Scripture reminds us not to covet what belongs to others. Have you ever grappled with envy over your friend's wife, life, possessions, or home?
Honoring our parents is a way to show love for God. Have you ever challenged your parents' authority by talking back to them?
Using God's Name in vain or carelessly is against His wishes. Did you ever use God's Name in a flippant or disrespectful way?

No secret is safe from God, He knows everything. We learned that every bad thing must be fixed. ALL the wrongs will be judged eventually. In simpler words, finding unity with the unchangeable laws of the universe. The Bible puts it as mitigating God's anger. This may come as a surprise to some who think that God loves everyone to the extreme. It's a widespread belief that God could never be angry with anyone, no matter how much they sin. People who don't know the basics often argue that God is supposed to love us no matter what.
Yes, God loves the world, but we can't ignore His holiness either. It's beyond what can be done.

The eternal character of God remains elusive when we attempt to gauge it using our expectations, behavior, and worldly standards.
He truly is 'out of this world' and He tells us who He is and how He rules in the Bible It's pointless to make God follow our rules because that won't lead to anything real or lasting.

Blaming God for the bad things that happen isn't fair because it's not His fault. The world was created flawlessly. Adam made a mistake and now we have to learn from it.

The Scripture proclaims...

'For all have sinned (done wrongs things), and do need the glory of God. wrongs' (Romans 3:23)

So, being a good person and doing 'good' things cannot save you from the terrible penalty of the wrong attitudes, thoughts and conduct. Jesus Christ is the only answer. Only being a good person and going to church won't be enough to avoid hell. It's crucial to come clean about our sins and seek God's forgiveness with a genuine heart. After asking for forgiveness, we must devote our lives entirely to God.
Again, the Bible speaks of the dreadful outcomes of our wrong decisions, like ending up in hell:

'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.' (Romans 6:23)

How God Made Up for Your Wrongdoing

Thankfully, God made a solution for all the bad things we do, so we can follow the unchangeable laws of the universe.
God's plan for salvation involved Jesus Christ dying, being buried, and rising from the dead. This amazing plan was carried out in the open, witnessed by all creation: humans, angels, and even Satan. There is no other way to pay for our evil behaviour.

People want to debate, "God is so mean! Didn't they say He was a God of love?" God's nature is intertwined with love., but, as the Bible says, God's justice is an essential aspect of His love. They come as a package deal.
Understanding God requires more than just our own intellect. It's important to understand that God doesn't follow our rules because He is above us. You can't hide your thoughts from God because He knows everything.

Surrendering to God After Saying Sorry

If you feel truly apologetic for your mistakes, you feel compelled to live for God. God wants us to do this. It's like making God the leader of our lives for eternity. We strive to follow every rule in the Bible.
That, is the right order of things, the Bible says:

'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)

God never communicated this message; 'To get to heaven and be with me, be a good person and do good for others.'
God has spoken about the path to forgiveness for our sins:

'To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:

"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed:'God, I thank you that I am not like other people--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said,'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted." (Luke 18:9-14)

The man in the story followed religion and avoided "bad" sins like rape, but God still didn't forgive him.
Although the tax collector cheated, he was forgiven by God because he repented. Admitting our mistakes and submitting to God is a humbling experience. Despite that, it's important to humble ourselves before God and give up control to be saved.

Jesus Christ conveyed:

'He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them.
'And said, “Truly I say to you, unless you change and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.' (Matthew 18:2-3)

Being a genuinely good person won't clear your debt; not even an exceptionally virtuous individual can settle it.

'You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.' (Ephesians 2:8)

Is It Worth Risking Eternal Damnation In Hell For A Few Moments Of Sinful Pleasure?

'Then he said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.' (Luke 9:23)

Living for God means putting Him first and being willing to make sacrifices every day.

The Holy Bible reminds us that:

'Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship. (Romans 12:1)

'But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.' (1Peter 3:15)

You recognize your faults and transgressions before God. You genuinely express regret for your wrongdoing. You make Jesus Christ the head of your life. This is a lifelong commitment. We dedicate ourselves to living for God, as the Bible teaches us. Make reading the Bible a part of your daily routine. Dedicate time each day for prayer to God. Talking to others about God. And serving others as we are guided to do so. You dedicate your life to serving God Most High with all your might and strength.
