Production of the new Audi Q4 e-tron has started
Production of the Audi Q4 e-tron has started in Zwickau, the birthplace of the German brand. The model is Audi's first fully electric SUV manufactured in Germany and it is CO2-neutral from the start. The Zwickau plant covers all energy needs by using 100% renewable energy.
The Audi Q4 e-tron is built on the Volkswagen Group's modular electric-car platform (MEB), a versatile and flexible architecture developed for a variety of electric models.
The Audi Q4 e-tron electric SUV will have its world premiere in mid-April. Thus, Audi's electric car offensive continues to accelerate. By 2025, Audi plans to launch more than 20 fully electric models. The Audi plants in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm will also be converted to produce fully electric models.
The new Audi e-tron fully electric SUV will be launched in Europe this summer. The Audi Q4 e-tron is launched in the segment of compact SUVs. For Audi customers, it means an attractive price for electric premium mobility. The compact SUV offers not only interior space corresponding to a larger model but also a digital driver environment with the optional augmented-reality head-up display.
