Candidate for Release After 2 Seasons

Tottenham defender Ryan Sessegnon is on the verge of leaving Tottenham after just two seasons.

"Angel Postecoglou is scheduled to make an unexpected release."

Tottenham is actively taking steps in the transfer market this winter, receiving great attention. It has already succeeded in reinforcing its offense and defense by embracing Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner. It is known that they will make efforts to recruit midfielder during the remaining transfer market.

However, there is not much news about his release. After Erik Dier left for Bayern Munich, interest in players such as Brian Hill, Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hoivier who were expected to be traded has been cut.

Against this backdrop, Postecoglou chose another candidate for additional release. Until just two seasons ago, he was expected to be the starting full-back, but now he is Sessegnon, who has reached his limit.

Pichahes said, "Postecoglou is getting ready to receive offers for Sessegnon. He was one of the main recruits Tottenham brought in in 2019, but he had a hard time growing up due to injury. He only played 22 games last season, and missed 21 games this season due to injury."

Sessegnon was once considered as a left fullback and expected to take charge of Tottenham's left flank along with Son. During the 2021-2022 season, he played in 21 official matches and coordinated with Son on the side.

However, his performance did not last long. He failed to settle down properly due to Ivan Perisic's injury at the end of the 2022-2023 season, and so far this season has played only one game. Consequently, Postecoglou decided that he could not wait any longer for Sessegnon.

Pichahes explained: 'The injury seems to have run out of patience for the club. Tottenham are willing to consider an offer for Sessegnon, who despite his potential has failed to prove its worth due to constant injuries.' 토토사이트
