You'ven't played Minecraft for a long time. It's not fun to build things with blocks after you've reached the end of the game's technology tree.

There's a different method to play Minecraft with mods. Mods that'll let you build huge factories in the sky, survive a shuttle crash on an alien world and become a powerful wizard, live with nature in the peace of the forests or all of these at the same time.

The majority of articles that claim to have the top Minecraft mods will lead you to incompatible downloads from suspicious websites. But we're going to do things differently. We'll provide you with a choice of five specially-curated packs of mods that are able to provide a unique experience.

To download them, all you need is the Twitch Desktop Application (opens in new tab), which will guide you through the installation process. Simply click the Minecraft tab, click "Browse All Modpacks", and use the search box to locate each modpack.

One hardware note: To run these mods, it is necessary to require the desktop version of Minecraft installed on your computer. Minecraft isn't exactly what you would consider an optimized video game. Mods can place additional load on it, so low-end computers may have difficulty running some of the larger packs.
