Size

Also, measure from the ear to the ear. Then compare the results with those on the wig cap and make adjustments if needed.

Ears

Ear tabs in wigs perform many purposes. First, they help secure the wig to your head in a secure way while also making it look more real; secondly, they can make your wig more comfortable to wear However, if you have ears that are too large, it could be uncomfortable or cause your hair to show through, causing unease for both parties involved.

To address this problem to solve this issue, flip your wig inside-out and search for an elastic tab that has an ear hook in its back. This is referred to as an ear tab. It should be cut around 1/2 inch lower than where it joins to the band behind. After cutting, simply snip off the tab behind.

To properly size your wig begin by turning it upside out and find its ear tabs (they must be sewn on the outside of the cap). Snip any elastic band around the back of the wig; for smaller wigs this would mean cutting off 1-2 inches from the back; for larger ones simply subtract the head measurement from the measurements and then cut just below the number of wefts on its elastic band that runs around its back.

Back

The fact that your wig appears to be moving or swaying in the back might be an indication that the cap is too small that you need to address with the help of adhesives or adjustable straps.

Instead, you can use scissors to reduce the length of your wig. This can be done by cutting off the elastic band in the back. Be sure to cut equally on both sides. For instance, if the elastic band is 2 inches in length, cut one inch off from the other side.
