I just never turned in my own plates i never been stopped by police but I recently got a good vehicle that I do want to get registred and had a lapse

Dont learn how to utilize it although i get insurance. Feel stupid asking but I have never had to visit the doctors before and today i do. Can somebody tell me a about it. Do i contact the physicians office first and let them know they figure it out and what insurance i have. Used to do contact and so they sent me a list of most of the physicians my insurance policy.
