History

In 1867, the University's founding was discovered. The Maidstone College of Art was founded during that time. The college then changed its name to The Kent Institute of Art and Design, beginning its journey in 1987 alongside a number of art colleges. The organisation was first founded as a university in 2004. Finally, in the year 2008, this Art Institute receives university status and changes its name to University for the Creative Arts (UCA).

Student Life

The UCA Students' Union (UCASU) is the voice of college students, ensuring that they are represented best at all levels and on all issues.
