Minecraft is an open-world video game originally created by Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Persson and later developed and published by Mojang. Minecraft's creative and building features let players create structures using textured cubes inside a procedurally generated 3D world. Exploration, resource gathering, crafting, combat, and many other activities are part of the game. There are a variety of gameplay options available, including survival mode where the player has to gather resources to build a world and keep their health up as well as a creative mode, where players have unlimited resources to work with and fly and explore, an adventure mode in which players play custom maps created by other players and spectator mode, where players can fly around and clip through blocks, but they are unable to place blocks. The PC version is well-known for its third-party mods that include new characters, items, and quests.
