Women's professional volleyball foreign player tryout to be held in UAE from 7th to 9th

Women's professional volleyball, which has recruited free agents and selected Asian quarter players, will head to select foreign players, the last step in strengthening their power.

The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) will hold a 2024 women's foreign player tryout (open selection) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from the 7th to the 9th.

This year, 58 new players have applied, of which the top 38 players will participate in the tryout after evaluation by the club.

On top of that, four players who applied for a tryout among the players who played in the V League in the 2023-2024 season, Retizia Moma Basoko (Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Cameroon), Willow Johnson (Heungkuk Life Insurance), Gisele Silva (GS Caltex), and Banya Bukirich (Korea Expressway Corporation), are also waiting for renewal or re-challenge at other clubs.

In the preliminary preference survey, Bulgarian apogit spiker Merelin Nikolova (21, 188 cm tall) and Polish apogit spiker Marta Matteiko (26, 197 cm) were well received.

Based on the final performance of last season, 35 beads of Pepper Savings Bank ranked 7th, 30 beads of Korea Expressway Corporation ranked 6th, 25 beads of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea ranked 5th, 20 beads of GS Caltex ranked 4th, 15 beads of Jeonggwanjang ranked 3rd, 10 beads of Heungkuk Life Insurance ranked 2nd, and 5 beads of Hyundai Engineering & Construction ranked 1st will be allocated, and the order of nomination will be determined by lottery.  토토사이트 추천

Physical examination and practice matches will follow on the 7th, and coach interviews and practice matches will follow on the 8th. On the 9th, the draft will begin at 8 p.m. in Korean time after the practice match.
