This cross-disciplinary elective allows non-Arts Management students to explore management concepts and practices that are relevant to the arts and culture industry. Students will learn essential arts management skills and apply them in planning and decision-making within the context of running an arts company or organising an arts event. In this module, students will explore three Southeast Asian performing art forms - Malay Dance, Silat and Indonesian Performing Arts.
One can easily pursue Diploma in Chinese as a part time course with any other graduation or post-graduation course. A person pursuing Diploma in Chinese can also pursue other UG or PG courses and can use it as an add on to the language profile. Students who want to pursue further studies can opt for UG and PG courses in Chinese for better expertise. The Intermediate Mandarin Chinese Diploma Course will help you to feel more comfortable and confident holding meaningful conversations in Chinese and become very familiar with hanyu pinyin. Building on your beginner’s level foundations , you’ll learn a diverse range of new words – preparing yourself for more interesting, meaningful conversations. For the AY2023 intake, ITE students who are completing their Nitec course in June or December 2022 or Higher Nitec course in September 2022 or March 2023 are eligible to apply for admission. Applicants who do not meet the English Language proficiency requirement for the applied diploma course will have the option to enrol in the NAFA Preparatory English Course .
The Postgraduate Diploma programme may also serve as an entry route to further studies in Chinese. The proposed programme follows a two-pronged approach by offering intensive studies areas in both Mandarin Chinese language and Chinese literary and cultural studies. As a result, students’ knowledge and understanding of important concepts in Chinese culture and society will be enhanced.
