Minecraft Recovery Compass Recipe And Purpose
So you want to know about the Minecraft recovery compass? Games update released the recovery compass only a couple of weeks ago. Although it's not as scary as The Warden and not as scary or as creepy as the Deep Dark biome the recovery compasses can be a useful thing to have with your person in the event of a sudden death.
The Minecraft recovery compass only has one function - to help you retrieve your lost items. It's not quite the same as the compass of Jack Sparrow that takes you to what you want however they share the same feature of being ineffective for general navigation. The compass can direct you to the exact spot you died while you have it in place.
The compass will only work if the player who holds it has died. You also need to be in the same dimension as your death to activate it. To work you must be within the same dimension in which you died, such as, if your death was in the Nether. If either of these conditions aren't met, the compass is just spinning around, never pointing to anything.
Minecraft recovery compass recipe
To make a recovery compass to create one, you'll need the following items:
A compass 9x Echo shards
Place the compass in the middle of the grid for crafting with nine echo shards surrounding it. Echo shards are a brand new resource that was added to the 1.19 update, and can only be found in the new 'Ancient Cities regions that are found in the Deep Dark biome.
