Long-Delayed Minecraft Amiibo will Arrive In September - IGN

Nearly two years since Minecraft's Steve joined the DLC roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate His (and his female Alex's) amiibo will finally reach retail shelves on September 9.

Nintendo announced the release date for Minecraft's amiibo on Twitter. The tweet was accompanied by a short video that showed fans a look at the final designs of the Steve and Alex amiibo. These designs are faithful to the original blocky designs.

While initially set for a release in spring 2022 of the amiibos Alex Steve and Steve were delayed until 2022 due delays in production and logistics.

Now that Minecraft's Amiibo collections have a launch date, Nintendo is nearing the close of its Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo line. Steve is gone. The last characters the company can convert into amiibo are Sephiroth and Pyra and Mythra. Minecraft Kazuya and Sora. It isn't certain if Sora will be given an amiibo.

Steve's appearance in Super Smash Bros as an DLC fighter. Ultimate and gave his gameplay a 7, calling his faithful representation of Steve "impressive" however, we pointed out that certain mechanics "can also lead to lots of frustration."
