10 pest control tips to keep your home pest-free

(6) Fix leaky taps/faucets: A dripping tap can waste almost 20 litres of water per day which may lead to pest infestation in adjoining homes if not repaired on time.
(7) Don't overload trash cans outside your home: Pests are good at hiding and nesting over densely filled trashcans where they feel protected from household pest control measures. So don't overload trash cans with waste items to avoid pest infestation.
(8) Check for pest entry points when moving into a new home/apartment: Pests are good at hiding and require very less time to make their way in any pest-infested environment. So its better to keep all doors/windows/drains etc. pest-proofed before you move into the new house. This will help you in pest control early on after moving into your new place, thus discouraging pest infestation ultimately saving you money & time invested in pest extermination activities later on in life.
(9) Use natural pest repellents like mint leaves, eucalyptus oil etc.: Mint leaves have insect-repelling quality which not only repel pest, but also provide your home/office with fresh smell. Similarly eucalyptus oil is effective against pest like ants, cockroaches etc.
(10) Check for pest entry point in used items before bringing it into your homes/offices: Its better to be safe than pest free! So check all used stuffs like cushions, furniture's, books etc. for pest infestation before using them inside the house/office. This will help you avoid major pest outbreak caused by small pest entry points present in used items after few days of purchasing them from outside.
