Who will survive The Cabin in the Woods?

The Cabin in the Woods follows five college friends--Dana, Jules, Holden, Marty and Curt, as they set off on a getaway weekend to an isolated cabin set in the woods. When they begin exploring their surroundings, they quickly realize they're not the only ones and that their trip has taken a sinister turn.

watch Knock at the Cabin realizes that they are just pawns in an even bigger game, as they are subjected to a variety of horrors, that are both human-made and supernatural. As the night progresses, five of them must make it through the night, or face death.

The group initially breaks up into two: Dana and Marty stay in the cabin , while Jules, Holden, and Curt investigate the strange events happening outside. After a few close calls, Dana and Marty return to the cabin to inform the group that the creatures in the outside were killed, and then discover they have no idea that Jules, Holden, and Curt have not yet returned.

The other two go outside to search for their companions, and in this process Dana realizes the monsters are human beings--scientists from a government-run organization who were transformed into monsters and sent to the cabin for a secret experiment.

The two eventually locate and save their companions, and the five manage to escape the cabin and return to their vehicle. Despite their best efforts they are unable to defeat the mutant creatures and have to hide in a mine shaft that is abandoned.

In in the underground mines, the miners find an control room, and they discover the purpose of the secret experiment: to develop a new kind of monster that could be used fight in a war. After a brief struggle they can shut down the project and escape the mine alive.


In the end, all five of the college friends survive the ordeal, although they're all deeply affected by the experience. Despite the horrible experiences they endured and the traumatic experience, they're determined to put the trauma behind them and get back to normal life.
