Building A Tool Bag (Tongue and Groove Pliers Channellock 420 and Knipex 87 01 250)

Thanks for tuning in to another episode of one tool a week, guy, I'm back in the segment again and we're doing building a toe bag. So we already have our gloves for safeties. Of course, our strap right here connectors that I had a showing up before links on my youtube channel. We have our utility knife, cutting boxes, opening our 11 in 1 screwdriver and our tape measure. What is it that we're gon na need? Next, my belief is gon na be we're gon na need a pair of tongue and groove pliers. Now the basics gon na be channel locks. I have a for 2002 down locks for 20. If you want to go with Klein or Greenlee whatever you want to go with, I chose channel locks just because they're basic in the industry. If you don't know what a channel lock is, it's most people just call the tongue and groove pliers channel locks, but channel lock is gon na be a brand. Of course. Channel locks comes with your blue grip for comfort and that's their signature. Color, a high carbon steel for superior performance, special coated for ultimate rust, / prevention, a right-angle laser cut thread, teeth, grip, bitter and last longer, so the teeth are gon na. Be alright angle. That way, you tying up going right, we're not supposed to use it going up because it would just crude the teeth into whatever you're trying to loosen up and undercut groove and design for non-slip. So these little grooves right here now the length is gon na, be a nine and a half inch long from over. Here to the end, the jaw capacity is up to inch and a half, so the open up tension 1/2 for superior grip, five adjustment positions. Now, by 5 adjustments you have the adjustments right here. That'S one drop lower two three, four: five, that's five adjustments. It also comes with a permit, Lock, fastener, to eliminate nut and bolt failure. Now the weight on the channel locks are gon na be one. I'M sorry point eight seven pounds, so this is something that I carry with me. If I grab my screwdriver, my channel locks my tape measure, I always throw it on the back of my where my wallet goes back on my jeans. I carry these all the time. No matter where I get off, if electricians, plumbers HVAC, I guarantee they're gon na have a pair of tongue-in-groove pliers. Now the price for these 420 models on channel locks, it's gon na be thirteen dollars and 87 cents that isn't bad at all. These are great tool. It'S a must-have, of course, like I said, Clym makes their own now. If you want to go with a little bit more fancy than your channel locks slide these baby over, you can go with the kinetics. These things are German made and my opinion they're great pliers. Okay, it's gon na be the nitpicks 8701 250 and the model numbers right here they're made in Germany kinetics is, I want to say it's a really old brand, but it recently came into the u.s. and they've made a great impact. It has a non-slip plastic coating. Little grip: it beats the smooth surface over here, huh, oh no, you can tell, but you see a little more of a grip, and this is just a smooth surface on the channel locks like the chrome, vanadium, electric steel forge multistage oil harden for the metal gripping Standard special hardened teeth box joint design, so this is one feature that I do like about. The kinetics. Is this little you here instead of the channellocks right here, which channellocks does make a brand also, as that looks like the kinetics right here, but it's gon na be a hex, so it grabs on to better if you're doing, hex nuts pipe whatever it is. It'S gon na grab a better bite adjustment at the touch of a button right here. All you do is just press the button and it slides up and down now that is one feature that I'm I've been getting used to, I'm into the channel locks, just opening and opening it up or just going like that and one hand sliding out with this Baby, you have to push the button just slide it up now it does have anti pinch so right here, your handles right here whenever you close you're, never gon na pinch, your fingers as far as channel locks whenever you open them all the way you see here, They do closed up so I've you have your fingers. If you're tightening up they will bind now the kinetics. This is the eight seven zero one, two five zero model the length on this is gon na, be ten inches long. The jaw capacity of two inches now get this guy's instead of the channel locks for 25 adjustments. That kinetics is gon na have 25 adjustments positions. So if you could take a look all these little T's they're all adjustments, which is great for whatever you're trying to get a hold of now. The weight on these babies are gon na be 0.73 nine pounds. So they weigh and just a little bit from your channel lock, so I'd be carrying them on you all the time like I said I carry my in the back of my pocket. It does save a little weight on them. Now it's a big difference on these. You go from 1397 to thirty dollars and three cents on Amazon, like I said that kinetics are gon na it's gon na be a great brand. It'S gon na last! You forever, I'm sure. If you ask people out there, they'll recommend them and there's no goin wrong with them. The warranty on them. I want to say it's a lifetime warranty right here. best clamp meter for hvac 'S a lifetime warranty, so they go bad, just take it to any kinetics brand or dealer and they'll go ahead and swap you out a button or whatever goes bad on them. But that's gon na conclude my segment, everybody! If you have any questions, go ahead and leave your comments below, I hate that like button and add me as a subscriber and stay tuned for the next episode of building a tool bag from one tool a week. Guy appreciate y'all for watching
