Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to improving the lives of youngsters in our group.
Brian Houchins , a devoted elementary faculty trainer and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and leading a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to improve native playgrounds, guaranteeing protected and inclusive play areas for all kids.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15, 2024, on the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The occasion will characteristic speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
