Finding the right architect in Surat has become harder because there are too many options now

Ten years ago Surat had a handful of architecture firms. You could ask around, get two three names and pick one. Simple.

Now there are hundreds. Every other person with AutoCAD and a laptop calls themselves an architect in Surat. Some do good work. Some just copy designs from Pinterest and hand it over.

The problem is most people can’t tell the difference until the project is halfway done. By then it’s too late to change.

A few things help you spot the right one early. Check if they’ve done projects similar to yours. A firm that’s done ten bungalows will handle your bungalow better than someone who’s only done shops. See if they understand local approval rules. Surat’s SMC and SUDA have specific requirements that outside firms often miss.

Visit their old projects if you can. Look at how the buildings are holding up after a few years. That tells you more than any presentation.
