Minecraft: Story Mode Recreation Collection From Telltale, Mojang

Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Game Series is an episodic, narrative-driven game collection primarily based in Minecraft's blocky world, coming in 2015 to Laptop, Mac, cellular devices and what Mojang calls "Xbox consoles" and "PlayStation consoles." We have reached out to Telltale for clarification on platforms.

The sport has an original storyline that's influenced by the choices players make, much like Telltale's different offerings, Tales from the Borderlands, Sport of Thrones, The Wolf Amongst Us and The Strolling Dead. "Telltale's game collection will combine new characters with familiar themes, in a wholly unique Minecraft expertise, inspired by the Minecraft group and the sport that continues to inspire a technology," Telltale writes.

Mojang affords a little more element about its strategy to story on its weblog: "We're not intending on creating an 'official' story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft intimately. all about minecraft servers and minecraft in general will be a cool sport."

Mojang revealed the collaboration with a mini-game called Information Quest 2 (which is pretty adorable). Microsoft completed a $2.5 billion acquisition of Mojang in November.
