Indian and Iranian can now enter Kazakhstan without a visa. These nations independently implemented a visa-free policy for their nationals.

Significant. Under the visa-free regime, Indian and Iranian nationals may visit Kazakhstan for a maximum of 42 calendar days out of a 180-day stay. Violation of this condition may result in fines and penalties for foreign citizens, including expulsion from the country and a ban on entry into the Republic of Kazakhstan for 5 years. 3. ALGORITHM FOR CALCULATING 90/180 days
Algorithm for calculating 90/180 days
From January 27, 2023, a new algorithm for calculating the 90 days allowed in a 180-day period for foreigners staying in Kazakhstan under a visa-free regime has been in force.
The period of stay allowed upon entry/exit is calculated by subtracting 180 calendar days from the date of entry/exit.
This means that it is necessary to determine the period of 180 days both upon entry and exit, and during these periods the total period of stay of foreign citizens should not exceed the 90 permitted calendar days.
4. NOTIFICATION OF STAY
A foreign national must notify Kazakhstan of his stay within three working days of his arrival. It is independent of the foreign visitor's reason for visiting, the duration of their stay, and the entrance process. 5. RVP
In some cases, citizens of the CIS (including the EAEU) are required to obtain a temporary residence permit (TRP) upon arrival in Kazakhstan. To do so, the host party must submit a petition (application) to the CSC.
A TRP is not required:
EAEU*, Azerbaijani, and Tajikistani nationals, subject to a maximum 90-day stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan
children under the age of 16
holders of visas to Kazakhstan
Important: According to the updated regulations, the RWP is not canceled when a foreigner leaves Kazakhstan. If a foreigner crosses the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan several times, the RWP remains valid until its expiration.
